Some times there are strange telephone calls from abroad with offers to invest in strange companies in Gibraltar or countries rather far away. The caller often speaks with an Indian or Pakistani dialect.

The always ask for Mr Brennis.

"Iss I" I respond.

And then the person starts a flowing speech in English describing the investment.

I let them go on for a minute or so, and then I say:

"No speak England".
There is usually silence for a minute or so. Then they try to continue the conversation.

I tell them again: "No understodding England"

Some of them hang up then and there. Some ask me politely.: "You do not understand English"

"Yesss"I say.

That is when all of them give up
